Présentation

Daniel Shadbolt paints still life, landscapes, portraits and interiors. Working in oils, the light and colours seen provide the structure of the pictures.

The tones are the framework and the brushstrokes are the animation or ‘lyricism’ of the paintings. Having studied Cezanne’s oeuvre in the past his current interests combine something of Whistler and Vuillard and most recently the work of Jacques Truphémus (1922-2017).
