Overview

Alone at Sea is the second solo exhibition at the Gallery for South London based painter, Clare Haward. 

Selected paintings, created over the past few years, combine observation from studio set ups with additions of narrative and memory. Alongside the subject matter, Clare is particularly driven to pursue new ideas around technique and process within her work- colour relationships, scale and material qualities have been explored and expanded within her unique and distinctive visual language.

 

Clare Haward NEAC is a South London based painter, a recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award and was elected to the New English Art Club in 2018. Clare studied Fine Art at Camberwell College of Art and Leeds University, as well as the Cyprus College of Art and the Jerusalem Studio School.
